Idk exactly which song was released first but I imagine it was Pac's and so there's your answer. Pac's album came out earlier in 1996.

And Pac's song was better.

NAS is my favorite rapper...

it would be interesting to hear how both nas and pac got a hold of this beat


I always thought Nas jacked it as a way of saying "fukk u" to Pac.


Nas had enough time to switch up the beat but chose not to and i concluded he specifically took the beat from the song with the album title to let Pac know "yeah i jacked yo shyt" like Tim Dog did with that NWA beat.
