Ok so let me get this straight...you're questioning why a guy that wore a metal face mask didnt blow up in the era where big budget videos were a thing and the most popular rappers were all over TV? Doom's style didnt have a mainstream appeal to it and still doesn't. He's almost unmarketable. When you sit down and listen to his lyrics his shyt is undeniable.

as a hip hop fan, there's almost nothing better than watching cats you look up to as lyricists stan rappers that's lyricists.

But you listen to interviews by those artists, they stan folks their fans wouldn't listen to.

Yeah, he vaguely raps about it but I believe it's in a Jokingly Way. DOOM is Piff and provides Stories featuring Funny and Creative Metaphors. He may not be on the Fanciest of Beats, Radio Play but Dude is Entertaining. "Heat It Like A Beef Patty, Cocoa Bread Con Kueso!"
