Bibby was nice, son. The Kings used to hang tough with the Shaq and Kobe.

Wha shocks me the most is how Jason Terry is still ballin and he was a Sophomore on that Arizona team when Bibby was a Freshman. Bibby been out the league a while too. Them cac genes. :wow:

Cuz of his foams in the final four

Breh that's the first time I saw those. Couldn't stop looking t that man's kicks. Few months later I saw them with that $180 price tag. :mjcry:

Bibby said the pair he wore actually belonged to Penny and he let him use em for the tourney.

Ain't like any of those guys ever won a title or made an All-NBA team. And they all had careers of similar length. So you're basically looking at: how much playoff success did they have and how much did they matter to good teams?

Al Harrington started 7 playoff games in his entire career. He wasn't a guy that mattered at any point.

Jamison only saw the second round twice, and one of those times was when he was with the Cavs and absolutely sucked.

Rashard actually mattered as a scoring stretch four for a little bit, especially when he went to Orlando. But he was a tool that was used well a couple years, it wasn't like he was leading that team.

Cuttino? Ricky Davis? You serious? :picard:

You pretty much just listed some guys who racked up mediocre scoring totals for shyt teams and called that a career. Harrington and Mobley NEVER mattered in the NBA like that. Jamison and Rashard were, at best, sidekicks on suspect rosters.

In 2002 Bibby was a clear top-two player for a team that was up 3-2 in the WCF and was one fixed quarter away from an NBA title. The next year he took the 2003 Mavs to 7 games even after Webber got knocked out for the season in game 2. Then they were one Peja three....TWICE... from beating the 2004 Timberwolves. When he went to the Hawks he immediately pulled them into the playoffs and took the 66-win Celtics to 7, then beat Wade the next year. He was the starting point guard for ten playoff teams and won nine playoff series.

Again, none of these guys were ever All-NBA level or won a title. But Bibby actually led good teams, was a player that mattered from the beginning of his career to the end. If you measure a career by how much winning you do and how much you personally contribute to that winning, Bibby easily had the beast career of them.

I'm going by their games. None of that playoff success matters because they've all been to the playoffs. Playoffs are based on teams. It's not like Bibby was leading franchises to the promise land either. He was a complimentary player as well. These are 3rd-Tier players. He wasn't even the leader of his teams, and he wasn't that great of a PG. Doug Christie played the PG most of the time, and the offense ran through Webber or Vlade from the low or high post. If NOT for the Kings, Bibby would've faded into obscurity. Jamison is far better than Bibby. Cmon now, he put up back-2-back 50pt games. As for '02, Most would say that Predrag was the Kings second best player, behind Webber and best player when Webber was traded.

Harrington overachieved, so yes I can put his career with Bibby's, but he carved out a niche and had a lengthy career. Cat was a beast. Better handle, better defender, better at creating his own shot, and just as great as a shooter. Even when they played together in Sac (after Cat was shipped from Orl), Cat was looking like the better player. and Shard was much better as a 3, than he was as a "stretch 4". He was a better player in Seattle, when he actually moved around the court a bit. In Orlando, he became a spot-up shooter.

Bottom line, that one playoffs is the sole reason Bibby is even recognized as a player. If that's the case, Jet should still be better than Bibby.

Some used to compare him to Jason Kidd with a jumper. Maybe that's why. :manny:
For those that are too young, when Jason Kidd first entered the league he was one of the best PGs to lace them up but could not hit a jumper to save his and his family's life[/QUOTE]
Maybe that's why is wife was putting hands on him :mjlol:

Dude looks like a frog.

I don't remember anybody saying Bibby was supposed to be an all-time talent or anything coming into the league. He had a really good career and lived up to his potential.

Bibby was a great three point shooter and averaged a solid 14/15 a game. Not HOF worthy but he lived up to his potential and was on contending teams.

Why was he a disappointment? He played on some pretty decent Kings squads with C Webb.
