for real, if these corny ass hip hop personalities not blowing this dude off the entire interview he really can't handle the pressure

Bill asking basic 101 questions about why he raps what he raps calling him out on his :duck: nikka was :shaq2:

Honestly hip hop journalism is terrible.. It's not just with Jay, they toss soft balls to everyone and never ask any nuanced critical questions.. The problem is most of them want to be celebrities themselves, so they act like fanboys and feel like kissing up to these rappers will get them more access and exposure...

You saw how Matt Lauer sonned Kanye and had him coppin pleas over the George Bush comments? Cam and his idiotic statements on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper...As smart as some of Lupe's music is he looks like a dunce when he's ever asked to explain the meaning.. They really need to stay away from credible interviewers...Pac, Killer Mike and Bun B are the only three rappers I've seen be able to be articulate and forceful enough to hold their own..(Im sure theres others they are just the 3 stand outs that come to mind)

So Pac the ballerina Shakur doesnt have his fair share of ducktales? :mjpls:

The songs in Pac's catalog that's comparable to Song Cry, Dear Mama, Keep your head up, etc, don't have ducktales, I assume Bill Maher doesn't listen to Jay's albums, out of Jay's singles, that song seems to have the most substance.

So for Jay to admit a song that most people thought was his deepest, most heartfelt song is :duck: is laughable :pachaha:

Wait he didnt admit it was ducktales

He said it was "based" on real experiences

Thats not even a ducktale

Thats a use of artistic freedom to express emotion that comes about through real life experience

The criticisms of you Nas stans get more desperate and desperate..its funny actually:heh:

Jay is one of my top 5 mc's but i hate when rappers get on tv and can't articulate themselves properly.

:heh: remember the outrage in that thread way back when Bill accuratley compared rappers to republicans all the responses were '':pacspit:this condescending liberal cac knows nothing about the culture!'' now he's questioning jay-z specifically and the co signs are out in heavy force :mjpls:

So true, journalism in hip hop is a joke. Hip hop basically became a culture of pure shameless exploitation at some point, for all participants at every level, where as long as a nikka could make a buck it was good, and any criticism would just be brushed off as hate. That's really the culture of drug dealing and pimping that have had a major influence on hip hop culture.

:manny: I just want a check too.
