1. You say this shyt like it's a guarantee.
2. How?

:mindblown:

What do you mean how? Do you not understand that winning=money? Like seriously, you don't get that? Did I not post pics of FAMU's basketball facilities before and after 2 tourney trips?

After the title game this year Jimbo Fisher said he wasn't building a team he was building a program. HOW? This year's chip benefits future classes because now the school has more money. Because they won. And they won because of their black players.

Never? What about the 50's? You think that program was born rich?

Don't compare 2014 Oregon to 2014 Tennessee State. They're light years ahead because they've been building those programs at an elite level for a long time. If the top recruits always went to HBCU's throughout history, Oregon's program would be the laughingstock.

No it wouldn't, because Oregon would still have Phil Knight to give them cash.

you don't think the money would follow the superstars?

of course the money would follow the superstars.

i've been talking about this forever. nobody wants to be the one to make the sacrifice

funny thing is that there wouldnt even be a sacrifice. let howard university get 6 5 star recruits like a kentucky and see how far they go in the tourney

Exactly. Like if Wiggins went to Norfolk State scouts would have just forgotten about him. No, they woulda been flocking to Norfolk!

TV money would follow the superstars, but that's still temporary. Like someone said earlier, T Boone Pickens and Phil Knight don't give a fukk who's wearing the uniforms, that's their school and they're gonna pull all the stops to make sure those schools are financially loaded. Alumni are the ones keeping butts in seats and eyes on TV screens, not superstars. Why do you think Notre Dame gets prime NBC coverage? Black players? :mjlol:

how is it temporary?

EVERY year your top players in the country are black

if the top prospects go to black schools then it will be a money making cycle that never stops as long as the sport is still thriving

But the HBCUs would be financially loaded too. So you think a loaded school with no talent is gonna beat a loaded school (or even not loaded school for that matter) with 5 star talent?

And furthermore, you think people are gonna pour millions into a garbage team? :mjlol:

If your theory held water, Harvard would be a basketball powerhouse.

Its a great idea but the money ain't equal that's the problem. If the facilities got better that would be a big help but you can also come up with creative ways to generate revenue. The problem goes back to not having enough money tho thats what sucks.

Im gonna be honest. Before people start talking about big money getting funneled to HBCUs we gotta address the issue of them not being able to properly handle the money they receive now.

Has any student ever went to an HBCU without their financial aid or housing being fukked up? How many college presidents have been ousted due to theft of scholarship, grant, and state money?

No, because Harvard plays in an inferior conference, and academic restrictions keep the elite athletes out.

When Notre Dame was coached by Charlie Weis and losing to bum ass teams like Navy and Air Force, they were still pulling monstrous TV ratings and selling out stadiums. Why? Because Notre Dame is a brand name, and no amount of black players is gonna change that. Yes, they're gonna keep pouring money into the program because that's their school, ride or die.
