Why won't Kendrick accept the smoke from Lupe and Joey Bada$$?

Lupe's lyrical style ain't suited for battle rap, he can't flow for shyt and I don't think Kendrick respect him enough as an artist to even give him a battle...and he probably doesn't dislike him enough for that. Lupe himself has said Kendrick is a way better artist and makes better songs, and making better songs is exactly what win a battle in mainstream hip hop. Thats why they never really dissed each other besides that control thing.

Badass is a mid tier rapper.

At this point, if you're not a top dog or a goat, you're not gonna battle Kendrick.

Both been very vocal. Both have called him out.

Joey heard people saying he wasn't on Kendrick League and has to battle to get up there but he did that and basically ended one career over there for sure. Even battled a super acclaimed battle rapper who decided to fall back because literally nothing was hitting..

The Drake win is one, but since everyone here thinks he's trash or not even worthy and none of his responses hit, then this is basically the Drake x meek mill beef again.

He went for Big Sean but that element diss was absolutely trash, especially considering Sean has been openly dissing for a min. "You finally famous because of who you date, not how you rhyme" is supposed to be it for Sean?

And going after Jay electronica to somewhat help the credibility shyt is wild. That's a beef that Joe Budden wants.


If you wanna say Joey isn't rapping to the tier of Kendrick fine. But what about Lupe? He seems to just be waiting for anything to respond to. Same with Joey, although he has actually been 100% direct on who he's talking to

Even his latest single is directly referencing the whole TDE shyt and asking for one.

It's funny Drake fanboys running with the "Kendrick won't battle anyone that won't benifits him" shyt, as if battling Drake was automatically gonna benefit him. It only benefited him because he won.

If he lost against Drake that wouldn't have benefited him at all. Cause Meek Mill and Kanye sure didn't benefit from battling Drake.

Right. Man, if Kendrick lost this battle, it could have derailed his career worse than Meek. The optics would have been terrible.

Now, I personally had no doubt in my mind that Kendrick wouldn't win, but if the improbable did happen, Kendrick would have been clowned out of existence (I'm exaggerating a bit) and Drake would have had a top tier body on his resume that he would be flaunting just like Kendrick is now.

Drake already has the ghostwriting stain on his name. It's like the snitch jacket (which coincidentally he has now lol). Kendrick ain't got no real smut on his name in Hip-Hop. Getting beat by Drake would have been a stain on his resume.

Kendrick is a much more complete mcee than both Joey and lupe COMBINED. And Kendrick is way more calculated than both.
But, from a crowd perspective, nobody wants to see Kendrick waste his time with artists that haven't earned the right to battle him...and there's nothing to fight for anyway, Joey made it clear they loved each other, and Lupe made it clear his previous salty comments were driven by jealousy.

Also Drake is a petty guy who takes everything as a perceived slight so of course he's gonna respond. Nothing Joey or Lupe has said so far is really forcing or demanding a response from Kendrick.

Infamy wasn't out yet when Jay dissed P, so P was still held in high regard at that point. His last project was HNIC, which was heat. It's probably why Jay went after him, thinking he'd get the battle he got from Nas from P as well. His weak performance on Infamy and the lazy response to Jay was probably the first time when everybody looked at P as washed.

Kendrick tried to get this shyt popping off back in 2021 with Family Ties, but I think the disses were a little to subliminal or not direct enough. But with Like That, you could deny who he was talking about. It was clear as day.
