The year 3030
You know how big of a difference that is breh? :dahell:

Of course I do.

But be real.

Anything over say...32 GB (and even 32 is pretty big) is a a ridiculous amount of music for one person.

I've massed probably over 1TB myself throughout the years..but stay with about 40 gigs on hand on my phone...and pay for some streaming shyt to switch it up.

I hate streaming sites.
shyt, has no rhythm to the playlist and whoever it is who programs the playlist.
was never in the culture, and you can tell by what comes on after the last record.
shyt is a wack ass buzz kill.

go find your music and make your playlist, fukk stream sites.

Not to bash anyone that does, but just like to know the rationale behind it.:ld:

I have a 64gb ipod that i can stream for free and have the latest music seconds after it's out and if it's a certain track you don't have you can always google search it and have it streaming in under a minute.

So what's the point? :dahell:
The same reason people pay for Netflix when they can just go find a link. Convenience.

Just try out the desktop version of Spotify. This thing has discographies all for free. The free version is amazing.

spotify gives you the option of not only creating your own playlists, but also sharing them, plus it allows you to access other ppls playlists to check out what they been bumping.. bomani jones got a killer Prince playlist on spotify..:patrice:

anyways the point i was trying to make before was, you have got the privilege of a 62 gb ipod.. most ppl out here rockin 8gbs or 16gbs, so that streaming service comes in handy if you want to access limitless amount of music and save space for other various media..

I asked this same question last month and nikkas caught feelings:mjlol: http://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-idiocy-of-purchasing-music.302884/

A lot of people feel it's only right to support the music industry through purchasing their art and not downloading their shyt for free, me, I don't give a fukk. I was copping CD's before the download era, taking chances on CD's for $18.99 plus tax, catching mad duds along the way:damn: Music fans were really rolling the dice back in the day, copping CD's all excited and getting hit with the
FOCk42u.gif
cause you really didn't have a way of previewing shyt, only word of mouth.

But now, it's a new day:blessed:
What the fukk I look like paying for shyt I can get for free:dahell: I pay for music by paying my internet bill. Anything else is frivolous. nikkas out here buying single songs and shyt:heh:

I'm downloading whole discographies in flac with artwork tags and the whole nine. Which reminds me, I need to cop another 64 gig iPod. I downloaded these discographies just last week.

Nujabes Discography

Madlib Discography

Les Nubians Discography

Erykah Discography

Common Discography

Dead Prez Discography

At The Drive In Discography

Passion Pit Discography

Coldplay Discography

Bob Marley Discography

That's part of the experience for me though. I bought something and it was trash, I still have it but never listened to again. But I love that experience. For me it made me appreciate albums more, be more selective with purchases and just enjoy it.

I don't see how artists can call it a W, when people are only streaming the 3-4 known plus one other track off a full album they're contractually obligated to put out. That's just the old singles format "4 hot tracks and a bullshyt album", but only they don't have the luxury of forcing the full album on you.

Streaming Video on mobile devices illegally can be extremely difficult, not to mention the much larger file sizes
