All of the negativity is very bothersome considering that the Wii U has superior games to whatever is on the PS4/XB1. Nintendo following Microsoft's and Sony's is a bad strategy. The market can't support 3 high powered $300-500 consoles. Nintendo should have embraced their role as the cheap alternative console (like the Wii). The Wii U failed because of lack of 3rd party support, too expensive, and not enough games. People also seem to have short term memory and forgot that the original Wii dominated the PS3/XB360. But hey let's just sweep that under the rug because Nintendo is too kiddy and we don't like it.

Vilifying a company for trying to innovate is pretty stupid. Sony and Microsoft just steals ideas (i.e.: VR, motion controller, etc.). At least Nintendo tries something new. Some times they will fail. That's why it's called 'taking a risk'.

I liked quite a few games on the Wii-U but this was a flop for Nintendo. The next console needs to at least be a moderate success to gain respectability again.

The Wii was a gimmick that got casual to buy into it those same Wiis you say dominated ended up in most casuals closets as the 360/PS3 had higher support rates....The wii may have sold the most consoles but they didn't sell the most games.

I didn't realize the NX was dropping this year. Either way Nintendo deserves this flop for cutting corners in the name of "innovation" (gimmicks). They never seemed to realize that they need to adhere to the standards set by Sony and Microsoft, because those are more successful than their console.

This year?! Bruh, I skimmed through the news on this but didn't know that. I was just expected them to show off NX for 5 minutes then put it back in a closet for 1 to 2 years.

Which is a really damn shame because hardware power isn't as important as having a fun gaming experience. Today's gamers have their priorities out of whack.



Well in this generation so far:
RPG: Xenoblade X is superior to Fallout 4.
Action: Baonetta 2 is the best.
FPS/TPS/Shooting: Splatoon is way more fun than Call of Duty/Halo
Racing: Mario Kart 8 is way more fun than Gran Turismo/Forza Motorsports/Need for Speed
Fighting: C'mon.....you'd rather play Street Fighter than Super Smash Bros?

I'm gonna call troll just off the titles Mario Kart and Forza/Gran Turismo aren't even the same genre just like Splatoon and Halo/COD.


And hell, I heard FO4 caught flack for it's story but in my opinion, its done considerably better than XCX.

Nintendo fans don't need to act like they wouldn't like any other 3rd party games on their system. Like nikkaz in here acting like to enjoy Nintendo games, you must dislike other games. SMH. I like Uncharted just as much as Super Smash Bros just as much as RPG games just as much as a racing game. No need to put down one because it ain't on your system.
