Things like the rape of nanking have happened in EVERY SINGLE WAR IN HISTORY, many other countries did the same during WW2. American soldiers raped a shyt load of Viets too, even closer to modern times. But just as for American soldiers, this wasn't accepted behaviour for Japanese soldiers and that is the key. Many were executed on the spot by their commanding officers for participating. While those kinds of behaviours seem to be accepted among jews and arabs.
If all Japenese soldiers were ordered to rape civilians, I could see yall point. But these were unacceptable behaviors that sprung from the barbarity of war and educating soldiers that Chinese were less human than Japanese, just like Jews and Arabs do to each other in the MODERN DAY. The difference is what is acceptable within those cultures. Arabs celebrate through the streets when civilians of the opposing side are killed, while the Japenese populace was not impressed but disgusted, which would you respect more as a people? Dressing as civilians to confuse troops that want to do the right thing and NOT SHOOT CIVILIANS, striking from populated areas of their own civilian people (ie. hamas) These are things that no Japanese would ever do because they are cowardly.
