The PS4 has crap wifi in it. The best wifi network to use if the 5GHz band which the PS4 can't access. honestly I've never pulled anything better than the mid 20s on the 2.4 GHz band.

It's taking forever to download this SpeedyPC Pro shyt. My internet is horrendous right now.
download hitmanpro, adwcleaner and malwarebytes.
run those, it will clean up any problem you have.
Do have another device that can hook into your internet? Laptop, computer, Cell phone? Anything to do a speedtest on? I would download Malwarebytes first and run a scan before I do any other "speedyPc" stuff that most likely cost money to fix your computer.

Could be a number of things: router or modem may be, computer (malware, spyware, virus, etc.)...
I had slow speeds and found out that the coax cable going from the wall to my modem was trash. Was about to call a tech out and everything (the guy on the phone suspected the line to my house was bad). I would start troubleshooting from free (computer virus scans, etc.) and work my way up (check cables, call tech out (if it isn't a charge), replace hardware)
Just did a virus scan with my Kaspersky anti-virus. Nothing came up. It's taking forever for this speed test thing to download.

You shouldn't have to download any software to test your internet speed. Go to speedtest.net or testmy.net. I like testmy.net because it has a better test and doesn't use Flash at all.
you don't gotta download nothing with speed test.
it just sends an info packet back and forth.
just get the programs i said.
install and run them, then reboot and profit.

i can be running the ps3 online/blu ray streaming/downloading on this pc and my fiances tablet all at one time and see no slowdown. i think they're just trying to get you to give them more money. i'm running a tp link, but i will say my wifi only picks up 13 megs while anything hardwired will grab 30. i'd check for spyware like orbital said. also let them check your line and maybe they will give you a new modem..
Let me add on my brother! reboot, press f8 boot into safe mode, install and run, clean up anything it finds, reboot run hitman pro just for kicks. Update your anti-virus program dl ccleaner run it! now profit!!!!11!!!!!1
you dont need to run anything to test your speed just go to
http://www.speedtest.net/ and click begin test
Honestly there could be a couple of things going on :
how big is your house? where is your router located at in comparison with your ps3 /computer, is it close or far to these things?
do you run any programs to download music or videos? those are magnets for malware
a router COULD be a issue but am guessing your have malware issues
lately i been pushing people away from routers and closer to powerline adapters, that way you can get FULL speeds like if plugged in directly to your Ethernet
Yikes. Buy more bandwith? Just have a tech come over and get the bullshyt straightened out immediately. Paying nobody for no damn speed issue...that's wild

Ok, running speed test now, brehs. I think it's almost done.
I know back at home the internet had been moving slow. Eventually, the router crapped out a couple of weeks later. Replaced it and the internet has been smooth ever since. Before dropping and cash on a new router, you should follow everyone's advice and check malware and viruses, first. It's probably an easy fix.
