Wayne literally climaxed with that song. He did over 80 features that year. A milli nyggas knew EVERY SINGLE WORD in the song. Not a verse. Song.

Shyt was really like a freestyle but it was shutting down clubs.

Drizzy is still on the incline of course he doesn't do as much features or puts out as much songs like wayne did in his prime but u think he'll be there? or do u think he surpassed him?

Nah, I think he ca reach a Eminem, 50 Cent type level on the mainstream....

But I don't think he can't get to that point that Wayne was at, where the streets and the mainstream was fukkin with him.

His mixtape run up to Amilli was :wow:

And then he hit it outta the park (on a mainstream level) with Carter 3

Nah...Wayne was just :ohlawd: :lawd: :noah:

I remember nikkas played Dedication 2 and Da Drought 3 like it was a fukking mainstream release :whoo:

Like -- every car in Philly played Dedication 2 for a year straight.

Drake is dope as fukk....but Wayne was just a rockstar. His personalty, attitude, swag, uniqueness and weirdness all made him the superstar he is today. Too bad he has been lacking/just being hated because he reached his current level but that'
s what happens in hip hop :manny:

He's already a legend in my eyes...and we will look back and remember all he has done for hip hop when it is all said and done :blessed:

nikka we had Wayne only cd's/playlist that we played @ kickbacks. Wayne was a complete MC for so fukking long man.
Complete MC? Cotdamn the bar has been set so low these days. If Wayne was a "complete MC" what does that make niccas like Big?
Oh and as for your sig...Cesc ain't going to United, you're getting stuck with Cleverley and fatboy Anderson again this season :umad:

No, Wayne was the last hiphop superstar, the genre just doesn't have the same draw as it used to. Not that appealing to 12 year old white girls in montana matters, Drake has already surpassed 08 wayne in quality & become a star in his own right, so he's already surpassed dude

Take Care is Drake's best album and that's not fukking with C2 or C3 or C1.

To be honest, they're not really comparable because their styles are so different.

They bring different shyt to the table.

Wayne albums and mixtapes > Drake's so far

Thank Me Later wasn't that great in hindsight...just a bunch of dope singles tbh.

Drake is winning in the department of features right now...but it will take years for Drake to surpass Lil Wayne

You're bugging. As a cohesive body of work LP wise. Take Care to me is a personal classic. Only C2 comes close in Waynes catalog. However, a compilation of Wayne's Best 15 songs >>>> A collection Of Drake " Take Care"

"personal classic" lolololol

anyone can deem an album a personal classic lol foh nikka

impactwise, C1, C2 and C3 > TC

C2 was cohesive as hell if we are talking about that.

I just prefer more rap than r and b so C2 is better and most people would agree, breh :manny:

Drake hasn't dropped his C4/Yeezus yet and we don't know what'll happen next. He might go on to be the GOAT or he might fall off.....

BUT as of NOW --- Wayne is the best rapper/artist/album maker overall at this point in time.

man swear to god the first time i heard this shyt my mind was blew, i was a young nikka dis shyt was so crazy. i don't think drake swag could ever touch just THIS song right here he not a hood nikka it aint in him, he gone be a legend tho

Young money motha-fukka
Get it in blood puddles, shyt
I'm in the south, where we're living in mud puddles
shyt is a drug struggle, and you nikkas upping prices
I hug the Glock like a turnbuckle
Can't get stopped by the vices, no license
Rollin' like dices on the streets where the odds is high
Where the crime is life, and the life is time
And the time is jail, and in the jail you stressin’
The judge probably hit me with an algebraic expression
But I get away free, like ocean’s eleven
And I motion to metal, like a professional
When I’m rolling especially, like a pimp’s supposed to
Watch how you sit down when something’s in that sofa
If she with me, you know something’s in that hoe’s bra
She’s a foreigner, so she say co-ca
I get broke off and they get broke-a
They like so wha, I’m like so when
We gon’ know then how the turning turned out
‘Cause we gon’ shoot back till the burner’s burn out
Till the burning burn down every house the block hold
I’m hollering at you nikkas with every shot the Glock holds
You can’t see me, there’s a thousand blindfolds
And my mind state is put a thousand on top of those
I do school and do lunch at poppa-does
They want beef I turn that to sloppy joes
Copy cats, brrrraattt, copy those
I got a strong relationship with expensive clothes
This stuntin’ shyt is extensive and intense
Like pulling up in something American’s can’t invent
I make ‘em fall back, they gotta indent
Like a paragraph, the first sentence
I’m way smarter man, I’m more gifted
Straight from the womb to pro, prolific
I’m so, I’m so so, I’m so lifted
High in the sky, me and pops taking pictures
That’s my vision and until my vision is vivid
I’ma give it all I got, we good Jigga
You bytches

I wanted to make a thread back in the day how. Lil Wayne in his prime was only second to Big and Pac. Wayne's peak was better than Jay and Nas :manny: .

But of course the stuck in the past 90s constituency wouldnt agree. But if you factor ALL that wayne did between 06-09. There is NO living MC that had that type of run.

To stay on topic, drake is bigger than Wayne is now.

Well, good thing you didn't make that thread, that's absolute nonsense, come on nicca :what:
Jay and Nas in 2001-2003 were much better than wayne's "peak", nevermind circa 94-96 (nas) and 95-97(Jay).
