Naw breh, much like there will never be another The Infamous, OBC4L or 7 Day Theory...you can only really capture lightning in a bottle once. There's no point expecting someone to repeat that level of greatness again. You're better of just accepting it for what it is, a crowning achievement that isn't really gonna be replicated.

some dude made a 5 volume series of non album, guest appearance & unreleased Nas stuff a year or so back. I finally got around to playing all 5 (and vol. 5 is 2 parts) over the course of a week or so. I was astonished at how awful 60-75% of it is. Like, Nas has this online rep as having a great unreleased catalog but that rep really only stems from what ended up on Lost Tapes and thus...WAS RELEASED.

Tons of horrible shyt. He has a song called "i'm cryin' gangsta tears". LOLOLOLOLOL

Nope but no one can or has since. And you know there's people who have tried to make Illmatic even recruiting Pete, Primo and Tip for their albums or getting multi producers or making just 10 tracks, doesnt happen.
I just appreicate Nas other albums and dont try to compare them to Illmatic, because even with the filler and complaints about beats I still think he's made pretty good albums. It Was Written, Stilmatic, God Son, Untitled and Life is Good I think are solid bodies of work and even uneven albums like Hip Hop is Dead and Streets Disciple have a lot of material to balance or even offset the wack filler.

Cuban Linx is better than Illmatic at this point. The Infamous is too. If only because there more to love. But in fairness, illmatic bring concise is part of the charm.
