some dude made a 5 volume series of non album, guest appearance & unreleased Nas stuff a year or so back. I finally got around to playing all 5 (and vol. 5 is 2 parts) over the course of a week or so. I was astonished at how awful 60-75% of it is. Like, Nas has this online rep as having a great unreleased catalog but that rep really only stems from what ended up on Lost Tapes and thus...WAS RELEASED.

Tons of horrible shyt. He has a song called "i'm cryin' gangsta tears". LOLOLOLOLOL

I don't understand what the fukk the hate some of the posters have on this board for this guy? He's literally the greatest MC of all time. Show some fukking respect.

He's not even close to bein the GOAT. hes a great story teller, perhaps the best. Other than that he's extremely average, and has some of the absolute worst writing in hip hop history.

just a different time & different era. people look back on it with such nostalgia even if he made something "better" most people wouldn't accept that fact. IMO he's making great music right now & it will only get better. even if he came with an Illmatic 2, same producers, same kind of 90s vibe, cats would hate on it for a number of reasons no matter how good it was.

fukk no. the sad thing is, he could've potentially done it with iww if his dumb ass stayed with the same producers from the first album. everyone knows the mcing on iww is just as good, if not better than illmatic. then you realize the production took a cliff jump. i'll never forgive nas for that. it still pisses me off to this day.

The rapping is not better on IWW. Him spewing biggie and Rae influenced ducktales does not measure up to his opus.
