Will is one of the GOATs. Ultimately, I think it worked out for the best at the end of the day. Keanu was born for the role of Neo and Laurence killed it as Morpheus. Sometimes, I wonder, "What if," but I wouldn't change a thing. I honestly don't think Will gives himself enough credit, though. He'd have made Neo his own.

Nolan was just coming off The Dark Knight though. Gotta just trust his instincts. I actually think he would have been better than Leo in the role.

Edit: I fukked up. Just realized he was supposed to be Neo. Keanu worked better because he was kind of a blank slate. Will's infectious charisma permeated everything.

Will was bout that bag and/or Oscars. Every movie he did during that period was a tried and true formula or Oscar bait. He broke down how they chased the bag in multiple interviews. That said, the Matrix concept does sound insane if someone just explains it minus the visuals.
