Because an article doesn't tell the full story. It's the difference between reading a book and the cliff notes. Also, writers tend to put their own slant on it and only talk about certain things. Take Kanye West's interview for example. It was over 2 hours long, yet every article you've seen posted was about him dissing John Legend, Big Sean and Talib, or about him saying he's still married to Kim.
