Goldeneye, Doom, Half-Life, and even Duke Nukem were more influential than Halo.

Halo was all hype and marketing.

In fact, Halo had a negative influence if you ask me because games started doing half assed single player modes and put more effort in multiplayer.

If you ask me it ruined fps games.

The doing away with traditional health system to the regenerating one is the WOAT implenation in games. Its lead to lazy level design in games. Thanks halo.
