Will there ever be an entertainer on Michael Jackson's level?

New gen. NO

Prince was GOAT.
Mike was a bigger star.
Morris is legendary, word to @Cat piss martini

Mike was popular, not the best.

All of that is subjective, Prince is the greatest musician to ever live, period. we all know that

but it boils down to songs and hit records. Mike got him there. :manny:

Nope no one

the Beatles and Elvis were prob the closest the mj in terms of icon status but they are not even near him
The Beatles are and were definitely bigger they're the best selling act ever for a reason.

Never. Why?

A) The voltage he bought to the table as standard equipment
B) The will to succeed
C)
The drive for perfection

easy as

1)
Papa Joe smacking a high note out of him
2) Timing
3) Opportunity.

All of it combined to make MJ MJ and thats a once every few thousand years kind of deal. Everything - good and bad - coalesced to make that man into a legend plus people really don't appreciate how hard he was grinding on refining, rehearsing and being the best performer he could be.

People just don't have that kind of work ethic these days, let alone the talent plus he came up in the Motown era and soaked up game from all the heavyweights whilst paying his dues.

Thats why he's the Greatest Of All Time because he paid the cost to be the boss.

The Beatles obviously.
The Beatles are and were definitely bigger they're the best selling act ever for a reason.

Uh oh, we made one come out of hiding :pachaha:

well first of all, paul mccartney lives a relatively normal life now, michael jackson could never do this:

Secondly, why isn't the beatles music resonating with new generations? not only are they not breaking any streaming records, they're not even charting any more, if they're so great why is this?

don't get mad, these are just questions :hubie:

also this movie flopped HARD bc the interest isn't there...more people watched this trailer than the movie :mjlol:

Lot of people are just thinking of the American bubble. America is only 4% of the world population.

No one else comes close to being as recognized all the way down to small villages in rural areas on every continent. They know and listen to MJ in remote parts of the Middle East, Africa, Asia, South America.

There was even a remote village somewhere in South America (Brazil?) where they knew very little about the world, never heard about 9/11, war in Iraq, only venture to the city on occasion, and they knew who Michael Jackson was.

Chris Brown doesn’t even touch Bobby Brown lets keep it 100

People really sleep on B Brown like he's a mattress. Back in the days he was the closest one to giving MJ a run for his money and he had his own style, didn't shark anything from him and built his own wave. Heck even MJ jocked his sound for Dangerous so that tells you whats popping.

In a parallel universe where B stayed clean we would've seen both of these brothers push each other so far creatively, musically and with the steps to create something out of this world because only steel sharpens steel and during his run Brown was coming up hard and had the natural talent to be a problem.

It also would've kept Mike sane because the only competition he felt he had was himself and this would've given him a different focus/mindset which really would've helped. And thats even with the whole "NE sharked J5" thing from back when which goes to show the environment and lifelong dedication it takes to hone that talent into something even close to MJ.

Let me just leave this here:

Flutes. Unleashed.

Thats what I'm talking about. Stop and marinate on that for a moment and realize what we were in the presence of. The man existed on a whole nother level, way beyond just an entertainer but if your 3rd eye ain't live then you won't feel what he was about.

I hope one day the world realizes who this man really was.
