It's because Republican voters are reliable voters. They come out to vote every election no matter who the candidate is. Dem voters aren't as reliable, for variety of reasons (not as informed, taking time off work is a hassle, more emotionally invested in their candidate so they have to love who they vote for, etc). That's why charisma is important for Democrats, you need to be able to inspire unreliable voters to get off their butt and actually go to the voting booth.This is one of the shyt I hate most about America.
