Will we see a console Pokemon game on NX?

With all these rumors of the NX being both a console and a handheld, and all games being playable on both the console and the handheld, chances of finally getting the console Pokemon many of us have always wanted seem better than ever. Pokemon fans have been saying for years the reason it will never happen is because trading, battling, and playing anywhere and everywhere is such a big aspect of Pokemon that a console game could never work, but now that we should be able to play the game on handheld and on console there shouldn't be any reason for us not to finally get this game right?

Games like that take a huge amount of time to do properly, and Nintendo don't have the third party support to make more than Zelda work in terms of five year game cycles.

their logic behind not doing it is stupid but it's actually gamefreak that's the one in control of Pokemon's future not Nintendo.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since red blue and yellow because they just keep adding pokemon and milking the franchise.

Because as many "crazy units" it would sale on Consoles. It still wont be ANY WHERE NEAR the amount of copies the handhelds would sale.

This is what I don't understand. Time and time again Nintendo proves they can literally print money with the handheld pokemon games(Each generation continues to outsale the previous ones despite the fact that all of yall say yall haven't played since red/blue )

yet yall keep asking for a console version. It will NEVER happen as long as the handheld games continue to sale like they do.

Wrong. Nintendo can do whatever they want to do with pokemon. Gamefreak or not. Hence pokemon go. If Nintendo wanted a open world pokemon game. There would be a open world pokemon game. There never gonna do it because they can spend less resources on the handheld and make MORE money. It's that simple.


And speaking of pokemon go. I really don't think yall understand how big this thing is really gonna be... A console pokemon game was thrown out the window as soon as this thing was announced. This might be so big that it cuts into the handheld sales.

Most likely they will since they said the NX will have an integrated platform(similar to IOS/Android) meaning the handheld version would be ported to the console platform.
