The WNBA commissioner is giving the players a reality check that the WNBA is still not getting consistent revenue and profitability, and those schedules for games at arenas are indicative of the only ones that are open and of lower cost to book

Until this league actually consistently turns a profit, these are the "conditions" players are going to have to deal with

As much as ppl don't like NBA players missing games, the NBA is a players league. You can't really discipline a players making 50 mil a yr on guaranteed contracts

It's the stuff the players union fought for.

Conversely, in the WNBA, you are making 200k at the most, which means your players union ain't really bout shít.

I think once JuJu gets into the WNBA its going to be much more entertaining to watch.

She lying. In June alone counting tomorrow's game they played 11 games in 30 days. Pascal Siakim alone alone played 14 games in Feb and 16 games in March

And honestly… it’s just a game. It does feel like they don’t get at least a full weekend off like a real job for the pay but, like others have said, it’s time to grind…


In the old days cats actually wanted to play this much in the NBA.. in the older/growing days of the NBA, players had a lunch pale/blue collar type mentality. This is the old days/phase for the WNBA.
