Pierce is still a good NBA player. 1 year at 15 mil isn't bad for say a team with the cap like Utah or Cleveland who could use a PP.

His numbers when Rondo went down were even better.
Pierce playing on a team were he isn't doing everything?? Not seeing the best defender and most defensive attention?

Pierce would be a huge pickup for any contender. He would be a disaster on a bad team at this stage in his career.

If Pierce hit the open market as a UFA every contender would be making the call to him. He isn't gonna lead a team, but if someone could pick him up to be the 3rd piece on a team there is no doubt he would contribute.
He can still play pretty good D for stretches, and when he gets hot he can carry a team for a quarter, maybe even a half. Plus he's proven he can do it on the biggest stage. You won't find too many of those guys on the FA market this summer.

He wouldn't go to the Hawks without CP3. Horford is a more impactful player than Harden. He is a two way player who while struggles to create his own shot averaged 20/10 in the 2nd half of the season with very good efficiency and he is a great team defender and is a versatile defender. Harden is overrated breh. Harden team is better when he's off the court than when he's on it via 82games.com. Give me Horford who while doesn't excite the papers or get any limelight is a very good player with great potential if he could ever get a PG who is a playmaker.
It's the Hawks is the usual thing people say whenever it's the Hawks. We deserve it, when you hired guys(clowns) like BK, people expect nothing or the worst. With Ferry, everything has completely changed. This is a great organization now. We just need great talent.
