That would be idiotic if they traded AD because he didn't mesh with this coach. Lebron is understandable given his age.

No coach in the NBA is a dictator not even Spo or Lue it's players league. Even coaches with big personalities like the Nuggets coach is restrained when it comes to players.
That wouldn't be the main reason why they trade AD. The main reason would be is to get back assets. I'm not saying that AD and Hurley won't mesh, but if they don't then this would be the best course of action for them to take going forward because they don't have assets. It would also give Dan the chance to really leave his imprint on the team.

Champions league
I've realized college coaches going to the NBA are 10x more suited to be an NBA GM than a NBA head coach. In college, recruiting and evaluating talent is like 50% of the job. Wasn't shocked Brad Stevens is having great success as a GM
yeah he's been a great gm, holiday, horford, white, kristaps all were great trades

the ether
Expected him to get pro looks, but not sure if this is the right fit.

Need a guy who was on a pro coaching staff in a high pressure big media market.
There was pressure at UCONN, but nothing like what is waiting for him in LA.

This is a casual take. Laker coaches haven't been failing due to media pressure, they've been failing due to making shytty basketball decisions.
