So does this mean Shams was led down a rabbit hole, or does it mean Bron wants JJ but the org is focused elsewhere? This is a win now moment. Lakers either get this right or squander it. And if I was a Lakers fan I sure as fukk wouldn't risk that on a guy who has literally never coached before. Now would I risk it on a college coach who may not translate to the league either? Personally no. But I feel way better about Hurley than JJ.

This! What if Jeanie wants to finally do things her way without appeasing star players? This move is showing that they are ready to move on from Bron. If Dan Hurley is a lock, then pay attention to his rapport with AD as well. If that is off, then AD will be traded for assets. They want Hurley to develop and build something for years to come. Bron and maybe AD won't be apart of those plans.

That would be idiotic if they traded AD because he didn't mesh with this coach. Lebron is understandable given his age.

No coach in the NBA is a dictator not even Spo or Lue it's players league. Even coaches with big personalities like the Nuggets coach is restrained when it comes to players.

A couple days ago, @GreatestLaker was in the Lakers thread saying nobody knows whether JJ is a good coach and we shouldn’t attack him (it was clearly a Klutch hire). In this thread, he’s already being negative because this is obviously a Pelinka hire. :mjlol:

This is exactly like the Russ trade. Woj saying one thing, LeBron’s mouthpiece saying another. We will see who wins out this time.
Here goes the Rob Pelinka Stan misrepresenting my position again. This is what I said

This was my response to that tweet.
Whoever Pelinka picks is going to be be an awful coach. Pelinka will always pick the worst option. History backs that up :yeshrug:

We have no idea what kind of coach Reddiick will be. What we do know is whatever Pelinka touches turns to shyt.
