Lebron always talks about how much of a historian and how much he respects the history of basketball. Does he even know that MIchael Jordan in his first 11 years was making between 2-4 million dollars annually? He only hit his big pay days his last 2 seasons in chicago. Jordan along with Pippen took less to sacrifice for the good of the team and it paid off for them. Lebron seems to be driven by greed and his ego won't allow him to take less for the good of his team.
Stop it. :beli:

:dead: :dead: :dead:

I will play along though :youngsabo:. Mike got 30 mil a year in both his 12th and 13th seasons (the seasons Bron are entering) while Pip got $5 mil combined in both years :dead: (while bytching about it the whole way) and Rodman got $ 9 mil and $4.5 mil. I'm sure Bron would take that deal the thing is it's not available. :yeshrug:

They didnt' sacrifice shyt. :mjlol: Jordan's deal was big at the time he signed it. Salaries (and FA) just happened to explode during that time and there was nothing Mike could do until the deal was up. Scottie stayed bytching about his money. That's like saying your wife sacrificed going somewhere when you just refused to take her ass :heh:. Mike was the highest paid guy on his team at times during that contract even with the lower salary, Bron still never has been that.

They didn't take pay cuts. That wasn't the Era of these mega contacts you see today. When magic got drafted he signed a 12 year 12 million dollar deal iirc. Stop plugging your narratives into shyt you don't know about. Numbers don't tell the whole story.

Mike's salary was bigger than the cap in 96 and 97. :mjlol: shyt was a complete joke back then.

Exactly and before that MJ and Scottie were taking up half the cap pretty much every year. This nikka looking at the numbers thinking Jordan should have gotten paid 30 mil every year of his career, even when the cap was like 11 mil.

Even if he did take a paycut to help the team(which he didn't), who the fukk did the team actually get with that extra money? :mjlol:

Magic's deal was $25 mil for $25 years :merchant:. That shyt was the biggest deal ever back then but of course by today's revised standards "he sacrificed for the team". :laff:

the cap in 97 was 27 million and 30 million in 98. Jordan got a sweetheart deal those 2 years but it does not change the fact the years prior he was making between 2-4 million

http://www.insidehoops.com/nba-salary-cap.shtml

In 96 the year they won 72 games Jordan made 3.8 million and the cap was 23 million

so he roughly accounted for 0.92% of their cap

for comparison sakes lebron made 19 million this year rounding down and the cap was 58 million rounding up. He accounted for roughly 11% of their cap space
