this is a point i always thought was outdated. we been doing our thing since teenagers (men and women) dudes be still in their 30-40s thinking grown women that have lived a half life doing fine need protection from something. it's a more of a romantic/fairy tale point of view than a necessity. there's probably a higher likelihood of violence amongst men that they can't even protect themselves from. and then on to top that off, a large percent of violence women experience is from their men!

Also understand that the privileges of a society don't negate the hardwiring. If the United States collapsed into Armageddon this week those women that are well protected by this society would suddenly need protection from the hordes of lawless men
