And "constantly tests" is a bit extra. The point is every now and then a woman will test you to see if you're still the man she instinctively chose to submit and defer to.

What she's saying is that she wants a man who can set boundaries for himself and protect those boundaries. I think it's related to their need for safety. If you can't set boundaries for yourself, in her mind that means you won't be able to keep her safe from danger.
Setting boundaries might come naturally for you if you're a healthy man with confidence, but you'd be surprised at the number of guys who are absolute doormats.

I get what you're saying though, some women will keep testing your boundaries because they constantly need to reaffirm that you're strong. That's typically the case with women who were abused as children and simply grew up in dysfunction.
