When you're depressed, the last thing most people want to do is talk to family and friends
You don't want them worried about you and your problems or you just don't want people in your business
That's the reason for putting on a facade like everything is alright
No one sees it coming because most depressed people deliberately keep it from everyone
You don't want to speak to people who do not understand you and/or understand what you are going through.
Part of not understanding is "worrying".
C'mon now ...

One reason for why she would publish a "treatise" online including indepth revalations about how she was feeling is because crtically she wanted to be understood. If someone I knew wrote that then I would automatically know that something serious was wrong.
As a youth I used to wonder why people would need to pay professional strangers to talk to them about problems which they could easily share with their family. These days I know exactly why. (Privacy matters notwithstanding) most people are tone deaf when it comes to understanding other people.
Learn to read between the lines e-grow.
