One of my coworkers at work today said a customer asked her if I had autism.
I don't have it (I was tested for it before seeing my therapist) but explained to my coworker that I have a lot of social anxiety.
Anyway my social anxiety is so bad customers at work think I have autism. I try to make conversation with people I work with but my anxiety is too much. I can say hey, how are you, good morning and pretty much that is it. Anything more than that and my anxiety just makes it too difficult to go beyond that. I can't say anything to the customers besides good morning or good afternoon. So I spend the rest of my shift not saying anything to anyone besides that. I sweat so bad at work or any environment I'm around people. This has been going on for years.
I see a therapist and at this point should I just consider an anti-depressant for my anxiety and see how it works?
@semicko82 and @Gator Reloaded you two were on anti-depressants right? Was your anxiety as bad as mine before you got on them?
Hey, at least you’re taking steps to improve by trying. Even if you fail, salute yourself for that.

That said, I have used medication for anxiety related to a specific mental illness that I struggle with.
I personally think it can help BUT it can demotivate you.
You need to lose weight, right? Well if you get on medication you may not be motivated to lose the weight anymore and you just end up staying stagnant.
I would suggest at least getting in a solid routine first. Start working out and dieting (I suggest intermittent fasting). Start trying to cut down on some debt. Start planning to be able to get a used car and your own apartment a year from now.
Then once you get in the swing of things try some medication.
I just don’t want you to end up taking the medication and getting complacent, which would only make matters worse in the long run.

I said that a few pages back. But it doesn’t cost me a lot of time to give dude advice.
he just won't be in such a vulnerable position as he is now in the event of some emergency
