I'll answer this since most people don't seem to understand how section 8 works. She has a voucher that allows her to move into any apartment or house where section 8 assistance is accepted. The full amount of the rent, which is written on the lease, probably is $1200. She only has to pay $407 out of pocket but the government pays the owner the difference.





You can believe this story is fake if you want. I'll say that part of my job is presiding over cases where people on section 8 are accused of committing fraud, I see stuff like this happening all the time. Depending on which housing authority is paying her rent that Facebook post might make an appearance in her fraud hearing, if she gets caught.

This chick is not only renting, but renting on a steep discount with section 8. You can't, or shouldn't, gauge people for renting a place you don't even own. She's a manipulator & user. She's acting like this dude is a random...although I'm sure that she is very acquainted with randoms given the fact that she let him move in with her & her kids, after 10 months with no real commitment. I was explaining section 8 to the other person I quoted not you as you clearly already understood the program.

Maybe I misunderstood your reason for thinking it's fake but based on my experience nothing about this scenario seems far fetched including the finesse aspect. Guys getting mad over stuff like this and snitching is how half these people get caught.

Welcome to earth. Where people can charge whatever they want for whatever they want. Whether or not anyone pays is another question. Don't like it, don't buy it. It doesn't matter if she is renting or not. The dude is taking up space, and it's a shame that she felt like she had to lie about something so simple. She obviously lacks confidence and experience with real men. This is such a stupid thing to be deceptive about.

However, I have no sympathy for a grown man complaining about $600 when he probably isn't paying for anything else he is using including electricity, internet, water, heat, and food. Sitting on her furniture, using her lights, pooping in the toilet, eating up her kids dinners and snacks is worth a lot more than $600. She's probably doing all this other stuff for him with no commitment in sight so $600 sounds like he is winning and she is losing (but trying to win).
