I've known women who were extremely shy growing up. It can happen to both. Hell, I was bashful during my Junior and Senior year and chicks would still talk to me. I'm better now though and vocal. I'd be the first to extend my hand

Anxiety can inhibit your ability to do "normal" things. No matter what you do or look like

When you have anxiety there's a mental roadblock you have trouble getting past. How you look or dress doesn't always matter when you have bad anxieties
