I’m not single but this is a new era… men have got social media, PlayStation, Xbox, porn, DoorDash… outside of having children, a lot of men out there don’t see a relationship as anything but a burden.

I just got lucky but if me and my lady end up going our own separate ways, I’ll be single for a long long time before i even seriously consider dating again. The juice simple isn’t worth the squeeze.

This. I’ve said this before but most black women’s minds are finished because of social media. They think they’re too good for average and above average black men.

Back when I using apps, all the dates I went on were with Christian, 7-8/10, college educated women who claimed they wanted to eventually get married and start a family. Most of the women I matched with only lasted for 1 or 2 dates, despite the dates lasting 2-4 hours and them claiming they had a good time.

Keep in mind, I’m 5’11, in shape, and make a little over 100k a year. Literally in the top 5% of all black men

I’m just happy I found one with a good head on her shoulders. I plan on marrying her this fall.

This sounds pretty standard. People have to mesh personality wise as well. So you went out with a few people once or twice, it didn’t go anywhere, and then you met your fiancé. I’ve never done online dating but this is how most people seem to describe it. And many people never find a serious match at all.

Breh, im glad I was single during the golden era of dating apps. I’ll say after 2014/2015, I started to see a shift and things started declining.

I was prolific during the late 00s/ early 2010s… and this was when I was hardly making any money compared to where I am now.

Instagram + OnlyFans really messed up the game. I’m not gonna get into a long rant but I’ll just say, unless you’re athlete, celebrity, have internet clout… you will struggle out here unless you’re genetically blessed. And even then…

Just having money isn’t enough… clout is the new sexual currency. It’s insane. These women are looking for attention more than their bills being paid. Being a kept a woman is a dying art.

I really feel bad for this generation. I’m not shocked more than 60% of young men aren’t smashing. I’m sure it’s even higher than that.

the type of women who go to these events are those who cannot get what they want on dating apps or via social interaction...ie they are either busted, clingy, asocial, want a super serious relationship right away, are batshyt crazy, depressed , hoping to get someone out of their league....or all at once

if you're a man who can pick up women, why would you go to a spot where apriori theres so much competition for mid quality women ? if youre looking for quick piece of ass just go to your local bar and flirt with some broads, you will have a wide range. you want something a bit more serious go on bumble or whatever. if you cant pick up women but got money you can go sugar daddy/escort if you looking for ass, or pay someone to make a very complicated dating profile and flash money for long term relationship

the "singles nights" have never really worked and in the age of social media what man wants to waste time going to these ? you just end up with two groups of women and men that are very awkward and the most obvious result is women who attend these want higher standards than the men who show up. so its never finna work.

I volunteer at these church single events sometimes. In my experience the men who go are the "undesirable" type and church women lack social skills when it comes to romantic relationships
