I've started to work over night from last night but from home writing reports and taking calls on the odd occasion. I do 7pm to 8am.
This thread has me shook though so after 3am I'm going to open up word and put a weighted object on the keyboard and go to sleep.

If they find out I'll just say my body can't handle it, closed my eyes and that was it.

Night is for sleeping.

I did it for a few years. It's only hard if you are not a night owl. I enjoyed it, but in recent years I prefer to work only days, mainly for my daughter.

I’ll say this. If u can avoid it, u should. Did it for a number of years. Now I can’t sleep without the aid of pills. Benedryl, advil pm. Xanax is great for this but u can’t take it nightly. In fact, u shouldn’t be taking the others nightly either but one can only toss and turn for so long before saying fucck it. And no, melatonin doesn’t work for me.

I do shift work but took steady midnights for like 6 years so i didnt have to worry about childcare when my kids were small. U have to be mentally tough to adapt to it because it can fukk u up. I gained 20lbs the first year cause i was eating at 3am like it was 3pm…big ass mistake!!

I accidently discovered intermittent fasting working on nights because my last meal would be no later than 10pm and would sip water thru out the night. Was a family man so i didnt miss hanging out late and its easier to move around in the morning while everybody at work. i rotate now but i would do it again cause i can get a 2 hour nap in easily a night

Worked the night shift for 8 years, 12 hour shifts, 3 to 7 days in a row depending if I wanted overtime. I still get brain fog at times, bad insomnia, and an ice (water)addiction. Coffee/ caffeine makes me sleepy, hospital ice :blessed:kept me up. I stopped the nightshift when I fell asleep at the light going home, I thank God I put the breaks on park.
