I’ll be working tonight. I work alone and can sleep when I need to, although I try not to make it a habit. I LOVE this shift. Helps me avoid so much bullshyt and politics at work, with management and the public. I’ve always been an insomniac and most productive at night, so, win/win..

And we do non stop physical work sometimes until 2-3 in the morning

l be dead ass tired and don’t feel like doing shyt but sleep

One night we got off at 6…3pm to 6 am

Im dreading the summer, it’s hot af and gonna be way more work…everyday last summer I left work soaking wet from my draws to my socks

I remember when I worked retail and I would always do those overnight shifts for large resets. I was young then and it would still fukk me up lol.

The body is not meant to sleep in the day and work at night.
Sooner or later your health will suffer.

I tried that shyt a couple jobs in my life, could not last in either job . It takes a special kind of fortitude to be up at graveyard hours, be alert, be coherent, and functional

Not just that, its a mental thing. You are working while majority are asleep. You're days off are a battle between sleeping normal hours and being like "fukk it, imma be awake overnight during my off days "


Even trying to gameplan on when I would go to sleep before or after the shift used to have me stressed out

Man right outta HS i worked at a chicken plant in the freezer. Was like from 7pm to 7am. Nikka i was there like a month, straight quit lmao. I aint even make it outta probation. Shyt wont the wave

Best shift im my opinion (long as you not married) you get the whole day to ya self, u get paid extra and you got a lot of time to do whatever u want throughout the day.

It took me about 1 year to get use too and i havent been back on days ever since. I work from 11 to 7.30 a.m and the shyt is perfect. You either love it or hate it aint no in betweeen lol.

Ever married dude done quit cause they leaving their wives at home to sleep alone, and you know how that go.. bytches cant be alone. The only thing is i only get about a couple 2 hour naps during the day but my body so use to it that i dont be all extra tired at all.. i would never go back to days unless im getting a second job.

I did about 3-4 months of on a shift including nights, so like 4 weeks all together.

Wasn’t good for my mental so I ended up bagging a promotion and going back to regular 9-5
