As someone who is 6'5" and spent many hours doing shooting/dribbling drills throughout my youth I'll be goddamned if I'm relegated to posting up in some damn pickup game.

I'm not a big man, you're just not big


But as far as annoyances pretty much smelly people and football players. I also found it amusing when a group of HS kids would try to run their plays or go into a zone defense. I guess it's practice so I can't hate on that too much.

When a MF has next and it's a bunch of MFs waiting to play, and he lying talking about he got his 5, then he proceeds to pick up players off the losing team... And they end up losing anyway.

This right here is my biggest pet peeve. When I was in college, I saw a few guys straight up pick 4 off the losing team while there was like 10-15 other people waiting to play. It's slick disrespectful of everybody's time.

The courts where I used to play at it was just a given that the people waiting got priority, you only got players from the losing team if there was nobody else.

So at my gym we do the first 10 people that show up than match up (so its fair)

So theres always that one guy "i been here since 6 but i was lifting"

That’s why I rarely play pick up games for many of these reasons. I’m not the best offensively, but if I’m with a team that trusts me or I’m comfortable with I can score a good portion of points. My defense nobody is really going by me like that even the “good” players. Let’s talk about good players realistically there’s only 1-4 good players if you’re lucky playing pick up. Like op said they only good enough to bully scrubs but not other good players. These nikkas at my gym damn there be begging me to play pick up nikkas got bad ankles it’s just not worth it anymore. One pick up I damn there threatened two nikkas that I shoot they ass if they really that serious about this game .

I don’t fukk with them over aggressive ass nikkas it’s too many of them. I told the people at my gym all they do is ball hog and brick and I’m good on that

Down here, nikkas usually pick up the best player from the losing team and keep it moving. It's rare to see nikkas pick up the whole losing squad, but when it does happen and them nikkas lose, nobody picks any of them up again.

everyone else is within the perfect balance of being very competitive, but still realizing it's just a fukking game...but you have the ONE guy who is so over the top makes everyone else uncomfortable...calls touch fouls, when he disagrees he'll grab the ball and run wildly to half court, put the ball down and walks back muttering and sarcastically laughing at the same time...if you balled enough you know what i'm talking about
