A twelve-year-old Chris Wallace is hearing "Love Is The Message" by MFSB "I Want To Thank You" by Alicia Myers, "Set It Off" by Strafe, "Friends" by Whodini and "Dangerous Diseases" by Michigan and Smiley all spun at a typical Brooklyn summer block party in 1984.

thats my JAM right there.. on the left, start it! on the right, start it!

Alot if nikkas are icons in their time

How many times have we said if *insert current big name rapper* died right now they’d be one of the greatest ever?
people already call Kendrick one of the greatest ever, if he’s the best of his decade in a genre that’s 3-4 decades old well he’s a great

:snoop:
at saying a nikka was broke at the beginning of his career when dude was on the block hustling & going OT making like a grand a week in the early 90’s

:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

at saying a nikka died broke with selling millions of millions of records ; co-owning a successful label ; having a successful group & solo artist ; expanding his brand with signing a bunch of new talent

breh, if you just dont like him ?
say it ..... and we can keep it moving

If he was making bread like that in the streets, then why sign a deal, AZie, as wack as he was, funded his career which didn't last long. Biggie wasn't rich like that man foh lol. Tony Braxton sold more than twice as many records as Big and what's her story?

Was he not? Biggie even said this on kick in the door. 2. IWW was 3x platinum where as R2D sold 2xplat which took 2YEARS. Even Pac viewed him as the ring leader. Biggie was mashing in 95 no doubt but 96 nyc nas had the thrown facts

:hubie:
really dont want to get into this
cause i really love nas music in all
BUT his fanbase can be extremely delusional at times

with that said.... i’ll just say this
the moniker ‘King of New York’ is given to a person for a generation or an lengthy era
NOT on some yearly basics shyt which nas’s PR/management etc team attempted to do in 1996

BTW
IWW album went double plat & he had no singles that was certified
WHILE
biggie’s artist did the same numbers in albums sales in addition had 2 gold singles & a platinum remix single
