That's because the league had a prime Bird/Magic.

Only player close to that level of play today is Bron.

Durant's a step below

Jury's still out on Steph....GOAT shooter, but I could see the league catching up to him.

Steph can't handle physical defense (which is only allowed in the playoffs in todays nba) and he can't play defense....can't be the top player if you can't play defense

Yeah, they have their moments....

Just said I still see flashes of puzzy.Bron was half a puzzy in the Finals until Bogut got hurt, Iguadala hurt his back, and Draymond got suspended.Especially games 1-3.There was infinite "Did Bron forget how to play basketball?" post being dropped. He redeemed himself in the end, but still, flashes of puzzy.

KD turned puzzy in game 7 of the WCF this year.

They're crazy talented players, but they're not consistently tough between the ears like Mike.

Has to be in your DNA.I really think the single mom thing is real......These niccaz are barely taking off the training wheels of mental toughness.

i made a thread with almost this exact sentence as the title. :lolbron:

How do you watch Jordan play as a rookie and not realize he would be better then anyone else today matter of fact how do you watch games from when he was a rookie and not realize he is the goat?

This.

No one in basketball history came in and sustained what and who they were as a skill player like mj.

Everyone else it was a forgone conclusion. Mj made everyone as a rookie realize he was better than anyone who ever picked up a basketball ever.
Again, the ring argument was formulated by Boston beat writers to keep bird as the top draw via perception. Yet reality is bird was saying mike as a rookie was god in a pair of basketball shoes.

Plus I saw that very next playoff game live, too. Including games leading up to that in the regular season.

To visually attest to mj was the truth as the goat, even back then.

I guarantee if you watch every mj game from the McDonald's game through college to the NBA. It will be crystal clear mike was the best skill player in the history of the game.

:childplease: How much is rookie jordan dropping on prime kawhi?

Probably more than Jordan dropped on prime Rodman. Yáll talking like Kawhi Leonard is somebody that Jordan couldn't do shyt with. Yet Jordan had no problem with Dennis Rodman. Rodman, who was an NBA Hall of Famer, was a 2 time NBA defensive player of the year. He had six 1st team NBA selections. One 2nd team selection and two 3rd team selections.

Dennis Rodman

How would Kawhi Leonard be able to do something to Michael Jordan that a 9 time all NBA defensive player (6 times 1st team and 3 times 2nd team) like Dennis Johnson couldn't do. Jordan torched Johnson.

Dennis Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rodman himself said of Jordan; that if you could guard Jordan then you could guard anybody. Rodman also stated that LeBron would have been an average player in the 1980's and 1990's.

Dennis Rodman is sick of people complimenting LeBron James

For some you that have never seen the Michael Jordan documentary "Come Fly with Me" there are some interesting statements made about Jordan by people like Bobby Knight, Dean Smith, Karl Malone and Hall of Fame Coach Chuck Daly.

Breh said the transition to the league had "been pretty easy "
:deadmanny: Goat from birth. I want to live long enough to see someone set the league on fire day one like Mike.
You have. Duncan, Shaq, Blake Griffin, LeBron even - all of these cats (to different degrees) pretty much made a seamless transition right into the league.
