GM isn't it? Sounds just like what we doing. Money and bennies is right, but this shyt is getting old. Tempers are short, lot of folks beefing, and it's the weather is getting hot . Seriously though, stack your bread, and take advantage of the company matching plan. Do the max. You ain't gonna miss that money. Trust me.

Yup. Folks here at our plant seem cool, but they play too much and seem nosy. I go to work to make money and not friends though. I just started working there though. One good thing is the plant is shutting down for two weeks in July so it's vacation time then which I wouldn't ordinarily get as a temp.

There's the dilemma because I work the second shift which is 3 PM to Midnight. But 2nd shift gets paid more than the morning shift. I'm in my 30's and don't drink or party no more. I used to be hardcore alcoholic party animal but had to change my ways. But I got hella friends and a social life so working six days a weeks in the afternoon and the evenings puts a hold on that.

Sounds like my plant. Where you at? That temp shyt is some bullshyt, but that's how they hire folks in now unfortunately. I wish international would do something about that shyt this coming contract. Just mind your Ps and Qs and you should be straight. Hopefully you'll get in there full time

I could work 6 days a week, but I don't know if it is worth it. After 5 days of work, you are almost working for free or at least it feels that way. The gov't will run all up in your pockets before you even get your shyt! Smh

OP., if you got the gig, then secure the bag! Hopefully, your job provide vacation time, sick leave and other perks.

Head supervisor said he was trying to get rid of mandatory Saturdays altogether. But it's no Saturday's off for at least six weeks, two weeks vacation, after that it's one Saturday off a month. But the paper looking lovely. I need a new whip, a new place and hella new sneaks and new clothes plus some new hoes.

Ehhhh...its not so bad... I work 12hrs/day/120 days str8...and get 4 months off...so i work 4months on and 4 months off...bread is not bad either...I pull 20k/month before taxes....my 4 months that i'm off...i also collect unemployment...so yea...6 days of work aint shyt.

But ideally I would do a 4 x 10 work week... especially if I lived close to my job.

You still get your 40 hours on a 4x10 I don’t understand why more companies don’t employ this type of work schedule

He def works more than me -rarely takes off

I just had a baby so I need time to myself and to spend with my son

There's no price on that and you can't get that time back
