Humanity is coming full circle. nikkas in here talking about worshiping The Sun like it's the motherfukking stone age again. :deadmanny: I mean gotdamn even the Ancient Egyptians had a lore to this shyt. Dudes really acting like the first humans on some "Look" *Points finger to the sky* "Creator". Anyway why not worship Jupiter or Saturn without them Earth would have been fukked long before now by some stupid sized asteroid. We wouldn't even be around to worship the Sun.

Christians do and dont even know it. Jesus WAS NOT real, he is allegory for the SUN .. SON/SUN. aint rocket science, mfs just dumb

all those ancient mfs like our ancestors, Aztecs, etc all knew what was up....

Mental christians would rather believe in a blue eyed zombie with a Hispanic name....than the obvious...

yet the Coli got the nerve to talk about white supremacy.....

He was a being of light and was referred to in the Bible as the morning star (revelation 22:16). Plus most people who have near death experiences do report seeing a bright light. Also we glow infrared light, which is part of the light spectrum.

Come to think of it if we were made in Gods image and God was the sun it would makes sense, since we are composed of the remnants of Stars. The six most common elements in a human body are oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium. Every single one of those elements only can be made within a star.

But regardless I still pray to God :manny:

well its not like it makes sense to worship these storybook characters who no one has ever seen or heard from :skip:

motherfukkers talk about their "relationship with jesus" :mjlol: delusion at the highest levels. imagine believing you're on a first name basis with the invisible b*stard son of the creator of the universe :laff:
Yes, I agree that - to me and based on my experience - it sounds preposterous. At the same time, life is short, stressful and full of shyt ready to destroy your positive momentum.

I've hypothesized that "spirituality" and it's byproduct "religion" may have been the result of the modern humans first intelligent introspection on their actual mortality. The overwhelming terror of realizing that after this short life - you will no longer exist, I can see human beings traumatically creating an optimistic perspective of everlasting life.

For you, it's water under the bridge regarding living, dying and never existing. Others, not so much.

If that's their coping mechanism, and I'm sure you consider yourself objective, why does it mean so much to lambaste them? Trying to convince religious people how fukking stupid they are is beneficial how?

because their bullshyt seeps into my society and my government. other than that, you're right

anti abortion and stem cell research? "jesus wouldn't like it"
possibility of climate change? "nope, god wouldn't let the climate change"
as an objective observer im disgusted by people giving money to the church that could be spent elsewhere, but to the larger degree that isnt my business

so like i said; if you want to talk to the wall in the privacy of your own home, and you think jesus the magic jewish zombie is on the other end of the telephone, fair enough. but christian ignorance and trash is WAY too influential in the country to act like they're above criticism and calling out their bullshyt

Jesus was a Semitic Jew from Nazareth. He was brown. It has never crossed my mind--nor have I ever accepted--the idea that Jesus was "white" (which really didn't exist them) or Caucasian.

Religious art from the Renaissance and Baroque periods are the reason why Jesus is depicted as a white man. Renaissance artists praised human anatomical accuracy in their artistic representation at that time, so reference models were used extensively. And I'd wager that there was a startling shortage of Semitic Jews in Italy at the time. :comeon:
