Did u even read wut I said u fukkin idiot?
This thread is in regards to the age factor
Of course creating illmatic is fukkin impressive
But the fact that Nas made it in his early adulthood doesnt make it more impressive. Thats rather standard to put out ur best work while young
A nikka becomin a CEO at 19 would be a million times more impressive, in terms of the relation to his accomplishment and age
Yeah, I read that shyt

Creativity and talent is not sumthin that progresses wit age
Then how come Nas didn't drop illmatic when he was 9?

I won't hide the ball from you, it's because the "age factor" is real. I get you're on your Aaliyah shyt and you think age ain't nothin but a number. But you're wrong; that shyt matters. Sure, Nas could have put illmatic out when he was 25 or 35 and it would've still been dope--it still would've been a blessing. But, the fact that the bulk of it was created when he was a teenager makes it that more special--in my opinion, of course. He was putting words together, thinking about certain shyt, and flowing in a way that revolutionized the game. I'd argue that his insight into what was going on and creativity in expressing that into an art form was noteworthy particularly for his age. It added an aura, mystery, and legend about him as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong because I wouldn't dare want to continue being a "fukking idiot" but you're suggesting that like any profession there's a certain age range where you think someone would be in their "peak" and should do their best work. For athletes, that period probably runs from their early twenties to early thirties. Wouldn't you agree? Therefore, when nikkas in their late teens get it in (think: Kobe or Lebron coming out of high school) or old heads too (think: Favre when he almost got that Super Bowl), it's exceptional because nobody is expecting it due to their age. For rappers, it seems you are saying that peak starts in their late teens hence your comment that Nas doing arguably his best work at 19 is not noteworthy. Riddle me this then, what other 19-year old or 20-year old has created something that rivals illmatic?

candle and the sun, that shyt dont even out
