These jokes aren’t even funny written out, which I know with comedy, particularly standup, can take away a lot of key details like context, timing, callbacks, etc. So not listening makes it hard to evaluate rather it’s funny or not.

You’d really have to nail all that down or else this whole thing was just racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, and transphobic.

Alas, unless someone is a racist, I fail to see a situation where calling a Sikh Indian an Islamic Middle Easterner, for just one example, is remotely funny.

Honestly this is all just standard Comedy Central roast shyt, all the wrestlers I've heard so far have just done their TV shticks basically
The difference is that the people participating in the CC roast don't work together like that and they're given the okay to be talked about.

This one is the other way around

The joke IS the shock from the racism/misogyny.

No need for workshopping setups, timing and punches, just give someone a stage and an identifiable target... they point and yell "Different! What a fukkin loser!" and their audience falls out laughing. "I CANT BELIEVE HE SAID IT!"

A lot of people online (me included) came up after the standup revolution in the late 70s/80s but this sort of shyt used to be a lot more common.

Over here until the new wave stand ups, the "Working Men's Club" circuit was how most "comedians" made their money and it was exactly the same sort of shyt.

As long as they're punching down at someone the majority of the room looks down on, they don't need to be witty, the thrill of getting to be the bully for once in their miserable lives will have the audience falling about.

Younger Boomers and plenty of GenXers for all their faults actually worked hard to get rid of it, but you gotta KEEP working hard because humans, and especially us pale ones are the fukkin' WORST.
