I don't even like Drake but I know like KRS knows most dudes have had help writing their raps. Every artist you can name damn near, from the GOATs to lesser rappers have had help putting verses together. That's why I wasn't at all surprised about the Drake shyt. I didn't think there was a chance he didn't have help. He's too consistent in making hits. That takes a team.
KRS answer wasn't that far off from Royce. Basically it puts the person in a different category. They're not top tier lyricist anymore but they can still be a dope rapper.
But you can't even be called a dope rapper if someone like Drake uses other people's rhymes AND their flows
KRS One is playing both sides of the fence. If a legendary rapper used ghostwriters, it would be on occasion from a group member for one song or someone feeding them a couple lines of a song in the studio. This isn't the same case with Drake
If you have ghostwriters writing whole albums for you and giving you a flow on how to rap over it, you can still be considered an MC or a Rapper? Really?
