With just the first track I'm already extremely disappointed with the vision that was set forth on this . . this is like the quality of The Outlawz without Tupac with avant-garde production

They should've made this a project that they debuted on tour . . hoping that they could carry the material with the energy of a live performance for their fans . . . this isn't pleasant music

i revisited 8 Diagrams after a few spins of A Better Tomorrow....
always felt like the one guy who liked 8 Diagrams to a degree...everyone shat on it and i still liked a few songs on it...but A Better Tomorrow actually exposes how weak 8D was. it has less bad songs than 8D did. they are both underwhelming when compared to the first 3 Wu albums but they are ok. I'd rank A Better Tomorrow above 8 Diagrams but below Iron Flag at the moment. I need to revisit that one again now.

Finally listened to it during my commute this morning. This shyt is 
to me brehs. It is very polished album. RZA dropped jewels sonically. I am not even sure if the Gods (or most fans) even realize it. This is definitely some grown up 80's babies type shyt right here. JUST what I've been wanting for a few years now. I am completely satisfied after listening to the album. I don't get that feeling too much these days from any artists. I will absorb more of it over the next few days. I give it a 4/5.

singing and hooks will still be there
What's funny is that no one is actually trashing the album in disliking it. We're seeing a lot of "too soft", "bad hooks". People haven't mentioned one wack verse, mentioned one horrible track, haven't said album isn't cohensive, or the the beats clash with the Clan. Their only offense/defense has been "bad hooks" and "soft music".

Listen to the album... Ignore the choruses--and the verses to a degree-- on some decent equipment so you can hear more of the nuances, and tell me the production on this isn't fire.
