that's absolutely not true.

People have ALWAYS argued about graphics, etc. in games. The reason many blogs/journalists here in the states "don't care" now is that their preferred system of choice isn't up to par with the competition. :manny:
exactly this debate is as old as video games.

Maybe these dudes just never had friends in school and dont remember the 64 vs 32 bit debate or the snes vs sega debates on graphics and shyt arguing with brehs in school

Framerate/resolution =/= Graphics

It used to be only PC Stans who cared about framerate and resolution cause that is their advantage over consoles. Now Sony Stans have jumped into the fray cause its a percieved advantage for playstion.

Y'all obviously don't give a fukk about framerate and resolution seeing how the so-called game of the gen ran at sub 30fps, and you were just all in the other thread praising the visuals of GOW on PSNow which is running at a compressed sub 720p.

They've argued about the graphics, they haven't used technical buzzwords to wage retarded debates (besides the 32bit /64 bit shyt).

Its all just marketing and people still fall into the trap of thinking this shyt is crazy important when really gameplay >>>>>> .

Oh I remember the 64/32 bit nonsense, I was like 8-9 at the time and my bro got both the PS and N64. And even back then I realised quickly it was stupid bullshyt to debate over.

remember last gen it was the 360 with HD DVD and PS3 with BluRay. that was a huge debate then. so retarded. i also remember journalist talking about how games were so much better on the 360 cause of stupid ass shyt like side by side comparisons zoomed in at 8x to notice a jaggie on a single blade of grass and saying the ps3 sucks. shyt was such a joke. now that its the other way arround with a blatant difference journalists quiet as fuk. its mostly the european journalists that give u the fax

Replace good level design and combat direction for shytty cinematic 'events' that wear off on the first playthrough, brehs

Naughty Dog can't make a good competitive TPS to save their life. UC2 was ruined by that shytty update, UC3 was :trash: and The Last of Us Multiplayer was just meh.

The shyt I've experienced in UC2/3 made me break my DAS3. Frustrating experience.

I have more faith in Rise of the Tomb Raider than UC4 and I thought that reboot was just :flabbynsick::snoop:

Lack of 60fps in a linear shooter? This gen? lol fukking please

:what:

Did you not see the PSX demo?? There was way more freedom and great level design in that than in all the Uncharted games. There was no "cinematic" event that occured to even think of that.

It's how I feel about the series, not just the upcoming title.

UC4 looks promising but at the end of the game, its main focus is its visual fidelity. It's eye candy, and well I care more about gameplay and performance than consistent visual quality.

Then again you could say performance and visuals aren't mutually exclusive. In that case :manny:

I want to see what they do with MP. Will they fix what they broke in UC2 or do more ridiculous bullshyt to the balancing?

You're ignoring all the gameplay improvements to talk about graphics.

You're seeing what you want to see.

You're coming up with these talks about the game only focusing on graphics when the opposite was said.
Focusing on navigational freedom for this entry
- Showed multiple paths, one finding an extra cave, other bypassing a group of enemies
- Plenty of side stories if you're looking for them
- In the demo they showed Drake taking a more riskier climbing route, that almost makes him fall in the sea
- All paths have consequences, there's no "Golden path"
- Rehauled A.I system
- Compared Sam A.I to Ellie, but says Sam is a grown up treasure hunter, so he's much stronger than Ellie
  • Talk a lot about how weight distribution plays a big role in the animations
  • You can attack enemies from all sides with unique animations to them, you wont magically warp in front of them if you punch.
They've detailed this stuff but everyone else is focusing on graphics ironically. The demo didn't even show any set pieces but somehow people ignore the improvements to the gameplay systems to talk about that obvious.

60fps won't make mediocre or limited gameplay better.

As for consistent performance, a locked 30 fps is consistent performance. There's nothing wrong with that. like you said the two aren't mutually exclusive. People are just assuming that the game will be a 30fps game with dips that have the best graphics ever at the expense of riveting gameplay and fidelity. There's more to it than that. Weapon feedback, enemy animations when shot, melee gameplay, environmental interactions, amazing enemy AI etc. There's lots that can be done while still hitting a llocke erformed

As for MP, idk what's going on with it as it hasn't been revealed yet. Whether or not it turns out good is up to the choices made by the deV.

whats funny is majority of xbox one games cant even hit 1080p. reason why third party developers are doing "parity" on alot of games.
i.e witcher 3, game is getting pushed on xboxone but cant even hit 1080p smh.
doubting naughtydog this gen is hilarious.
i also didnt looj through the thread but im sure someone mentioned tomb raider, and yall know the last tomb raider was jocking uncharted on alot of things.
even the multiplayer on tomb raider was a low budet version of what uncharted did anyway im not coming back to this thread so dont reply or quote me
