Hopefully whatever they got cooking pans out because making their games multiplatform practically makes buying an Xbox pointless outside of Gamepass and backwards compatibility. :skip:

Too early to say that since this run Game Pass is on only started this year.

E33 just launched there. Wuchang launching there. Ninja Gaiden 4 launching there. They're undoubtedly getting the games people want to play now.

These morons were talkin about 100 million gamepass subs by 2030.

They gained 1 million in the last year and a quarter. :beli:

Currently at 35 million. PC players have spoken. They even Deebo'd the price increase on PC. And we know it ain't coming to PS or Switch.

So where are these increased subs going to come from?

Gotta stop leaving common sense out. Been saying this for a decade plus and been right. shyt ain't rocket science. The brand doesn't have any juice outside of the US. No one cares. Where are these extra subs gonna come from? Not even adding to the fact they keep upping the price.

100 million not happening and that goal doesn't change the fact that they're getting good games now.

Didn’t they do the same thing before CoD came out last year?

You talking yourself into circles.

Since the day Microsoft decided to get into gaming it’s been speculated/expected that they would make a “windows” console.

It only took them like 20 years to finally get it done :ehh:
Microsoft games are about as special as Take Two, Ubisoft, and EA games now. Hell many of them are just Activision games.

If EA made a console and still put all their games everywhere else it would have about as much meaning as Xbox does now.

If everything is an Xbox then Xbox itself is nothing.

PC subs increased by 30% after 3 months this year alone. My question to you is what is the exact figure Gamepass is at
I'll wait

This is your stan talking, not sure what i would do with this perspective
If EA made a console and still put all their games everywhere else it would have about as much meaning as Xbox does now.
If “just having a console” was a thing EA would have one.
If everything is an Xbox then Xbox itself is nothing.
Or…..it’s a place people play games :patrice:

I actually like the idea of a console/pc hybrid. Microsoft can't compete with Sony and Nintendo in the home console space. They lost their chance when they didn't recover with the xbox one and didn't start this gen strong.

Back to this console, the idea of this will be niche because many just want a console to play F2P, sports, and COD. I reckon this console will cost more than the PS6 because it will be hard to subsidize potential loss in 30% cut and free online. There's no way they can charge for online if you have access to other storefronts. I assume they will make up some of the costs through ads. So lets say if you get the the Rog console it will have ads to advertise xbox games and other stuff. So, that might be a way to possibly recoup some of the loss.

I think they can still get sales on their storefront by having unique features tailor made to the console. They need to find a way to get stuff like quick resume working on an OS level which will make people to continue to use xbox /windows store rather than Steam. I guess they hope they can connect more people to gamepass and if the store works well than they might opt for windows/xbox version of games.

I think the entry point of pc gaming is intimidating for most but if they can get this prebuilt pc with a console-like ui, then it might work out for Microsoft. Price of this hardware will be key and if it's just $100 more than the PS6, then I can see this being a very enticing option. I just don't think the majority of people that purchase console will want to pay extra because most are just people that play live service games and you don't need a beefy hardware for it. I don't even think free online will make people leave their PS6 for this hybrid if it's somewhat close in price. However, this could be Microsoft tapping a market that isn't there yet because people are intimated by pc gaming and this can provide an option that might entice people due to price and ui.
