Again I've never had battery issues with a controller that I had to go buy another one
Well sir, that's cool. And since you're an artist you gotta be in the booth creating hits, maybe you don't game as much as the average?

What I can show you is how your peers have faired. Now this thread is from 4yrs ago so the numbers of faulty batteries surely has risen since then but here's a good 6pgs worth...

I just replaced 2 of my son PS4 controllers from them just completely dying. Same thing happen to me with my PS3 controller.

it’s still wack that they’re not giving us the rechargeable battery pack for free

Only use a cable to charge my controller :rudy:
Never had a ps4 controller die on me
thats cool but like i said yall arguing for nothing u can use a USB cable for xbox it doesnt need an internal battery like ps4 or batteries at all...just plug the usb in the xbox controller and u gravy...are yall nikkas retarded ? (now if u wanna say u wanna play without the usb plugged up and play wireless like ps4 that's cool) but nikkas have options...the point is we can use a usb cable i use a usb cable ive been doin that since 2015 everything else is irrelevant...

Because then we can buy rechargeable battery packs one time to game instead of having to buy a whole new controller when the battery dies like on playstation. Nobody actually uses regular batteries, the packs usually cost like 15 or less
Why not bundle the rechargable batteries with the controller. Best of both worlds.

:camby: my shyt always fully charged since I put my ps4 on rest mode. No where near the same as having to physically open the back of an Xbox controller and swap out batteries. Do you know how inconvenient that is, especially during MP games?
I thought you could recharge your Xbox controllers while playing like ps4? Haven't had Xbox in a few years.

:gucci: y'all really defend every dumb fukkin move that Microsoft has made, there is no fukkin reason in 2020 for nikkas to still be "buying batteries" for video game controllers:mjlol:
Having the rechargable battery be removable is a good thing. Not bundling it with the controller is a dumb move

I never said the controller being plugged in is out of reach, but over an extended gameplay session YOU HAVE TO SWAP OUT THE DS4 MORE OFTEN how do y’all not understand this?:mindblown: Battery life on the DS4 is the weakest out of all the consoles rechargeable batteries or not. That’s my whole gripe. Swapping out batteries is not some heinous task that ruins my experience the shyt takes 10 seconds to do and I can play for 7-8 hours on a single pack. My DS4 has never even lasted Longer than 5 hours at a time and I keep the lightbar on dim.

I already have multiple rechargeable battery packs around my house for stuff other than controllers so it’s a non issue for me:unimpressed:
Quick question. Can you plug the cable into the controller to charge the battery pack while gaming? If so and I'm pretty sure that's the case then these guys are arguing about nothing :russ:.
Having a removable battery pack is an advantage and this is coming from a ps4 owner. Not including the battery pack and almost charging half as much as the controller for the battery pack is terrible tho :francis:

I don't see the problem with Xbox still using batteries in their controllers. A pair of rechargeable AAs last a million years. The same pair I used for my 360 controller years ago are sitting in my XB1 pad right now.
Can you recharge those aa batteries just by plugging in the USB cable to it controller? Serious question.
