In an interview a while back one of the Xbox execs said the same thing.

As for why I think Xbox is selling well, it's because there are 80 million Xbox 360's sold to this date.

It's pretty far fetched to believe 1% of them have not preordered the successor.

There's a lot of PS3s out there as well but that doesn't mean everyone pre-ordered one or in picking one up soon.. Many of the notable launch games are cross-gen so we really don't know how the consoles will sell or if they will be able to maintain notable numbers.

Sony never planned on using the online DRM shyt.

Unlike MS, they know they sell millions of Playstations to customers without internet connections and said that was why an online drm system made no sense on the console. They flat out said MULTIPLE times by all of their execs that the internet availability isn't close to where it needed to be in order to implement the shyt without losing millions of customers. That's why I never understood why MS would do that shyt.

As far as the patent, you know how many crazy patents these companies have? When the world gets to the point that everyone has access to high speed internet, esp console purchasers, they could use it. But it's WAY too early in the game to pull that shyt. This isn't PC gaming.

Sony hasn't for years been including PS2 sales as PS3 sales?
The fake number of total systems the PS3 has sold (which is still less than xbox 360) you guys are not even including the PS2's that contributed to that overall number.

If you want to know the truth, Did sony sell out before Microsoft? YES
Is that because they both had 1mil and sony ran out first, or did sony just run out first?
Microsoft reopened its preorders, then sony followed weeks later.
The ONLY time sony was gaining a lead was for a single week immediately after E3
One week later they reversed the DRM and Xbox became the leader in preorders (not total, but weekly from that point on)

Here's where your insane. Microsoft nor Sony can do it by themselves, its something the developers wanted.
Gamestop was saying it was suicide for them, they was upset about it.
If sony was never gonna do it, all that drama would have never happened so please stop this bullshyt bruh.
Sony was on board, waited for Microsoft to annouce it first to see the backlash. Then backed out instead of ever officially announcing it.

If Xbox went thru with it, and developers were to take advantage of it? That means they could then implement the same shyt on PS4 because once again, IT WAS UP TO THE DEVELOPERS.
