That's kind of the difference with getting a $500 console at launch and getting an $500 iPad also. You don't have to pay anything after that. For the most part, it's like a computer where you don't have to buy any apps. And if you do, a lot of them are free. It has many uses that doesn't involve paying another dollar unlike a console
