I got to give this movie a chanceI got to give this movie a chance
I'm reading that the new PS4 won't be able to play games in 4k. so whats the fukking point of this then? there's still no 4k content available if it's not gonna play games.
Yall are not paying attention to these interviews.
He's not aiming for that crowd. He's selling them Xbox games on PC.
You don't know what it "sounds" likeThat's the thing I am paying attention to what he's saying he's already said expensive, high performance, if you want 1080p get the lesser expensive model. That does not sound to me like this is going to to be sold for 399.

Selling more consoles means nothing, they pretty much break even or sometimes lose money on the sale of a console.Honestly them moving to PC sounds good on paper but in the end I don't think it will be a good idea when it comes to selling consoles. When for third party titles you can play those already on PC and they'll look better and plus you'll be able to play them on the competing console with the larger install base. The only way this is going to get buyers is if there's exclusive games for it. Consoles are for the casual there a cheaper alternative then a PC there is no point in making a high powered console yet all your exclusive games are going to play on the superior platform. Atleast with the PS4 I know that there's atleast certain games that won't be on the PC or Xbox and that is the very reason they will get beaten again in the second round.
This isn't true. We got a thread on that. The fact that the people are talking more about the games coming out on PS4 then the Scorpio console coming out tells you wants about to happen.

I don't think that's really true. I mean I've seen benchmarks of games on PC's with specs that are on par or worse than a PS4/Xbox perform better. Nowadays console architecture is basically teh same as PC so there's no "magic" so to speak.you make good points but understand this.
What can a PC powerful Console due vs a Powerful PC? are they the same? Not quite. The Console thats as powerful as a powerful PC is by far the best way to play GAMES. Reason being, there is nothing else running in the background. no other crap that you need for your PC. The console is optomized to play games not do spreadsheets. Where you get more hiccups with your PC you will have a lot less hiccups with a pc level powerful console.
This means They may actually steal some of the PC master race people and put them in a console box once they realize they can own a laptop for surfing the net and doing the basic pc stuff(Work/school). but blow it out on the suped up console that is a dedicated gaming box. XBox could actually get new customers.
and while doing that they will keep making the xbox S type of consoles for the casual gamer at a lower price.
People forget this too. Just because you have the raw power doesn't always mean the game itself is going to perform the way people think it will on PC. The only person that's kept it real about this is @CiggavelliI don't think that's really true. Not really when you consider the consoles are constantly running background programs in addition to the games.I don't think that's really true. Nah.. I can play games on my PC with lots of background tasks running and depending on the game, it'll play without a hitch. It's all relative though as a PC setup varies from one to another so a perfect comparison is hard unless you were to do comparisons off of a fresh install. Not really when you consider the consoles are constantly running background programs in addition to the games.
Those benchmarks are best case scenario, nothing else's running on th machine numbers.
On console there's capture software running, friends apps, music playing in the background etc.
If you did that with a PC running benchmarks they'd be much worse than consoles.
isn't that a risk selling anything?Only problem with that if your lesser product has poor sales you're just going to have 2 products on the market with poor sales
