Depends on how old they are....high school and college, you gotta to work those type of jobs. I worked at McDs and Taco Bell.

I did use to come home smelling like French fries though. But I was able to cop a whip and stay fresh without risking my freedom or life over foolishness.

I remember working at Walmart, clocking in 3-6 minutes late after lunch and then sleeping for another hour inside the trailer truck.

Manager asked where I was and I told them I was looking for a specific item in the trailer because it wasn't on the shelves or warehouse.

When they told me to collect carts, I'd go to the nearby gas station, cop a tall can and chill in my car.

I worked maintenance and didn't have nobody on my back. And when I knew it was a lot of maintenance dudes there, I knew I was good to chill. And dudes was kinda oblivious. I carried a Walkie around so if they called I wasnt lackin:lolbron:

So shiiid I used to go to the gym on lunch for a hour and 30 minutes. Take 45 minute breaks instead of the 15. Clock in late

And we had a ride on scrubber so when the OGs was gone I was on that

No I don't because that could easily be me or you and these people work hard. I went to mcdonalds the other day and there is lik no break there until its your break its just constant constant. While I'll go to work close my office door and do what I want.

Not everyone working there is some hs dropout or fresh off the boat immigrant, always be thankful for what you have.

Pride cometh before fall, I never look down on anyone

McDonalds was by far the hardest job I have ever worked. None of the jobs I’ve had in corporate America had more stress or made me more exhausted at the end of the day than mcDonalds.

Damn, the Coli must be all undercover cacs, Asians, Afric00ns and ass kissing negroes. :ohhh:If you have a high paying job, chances are you were lucky AND knew the right people or came from a well connected family. :stopitslime: Poverty is systemic in Amerikkka. Some of y'all claim to have grown up poor in horrible circumstances, yet look down on low wage workers. :jbhmm:Doesn't add up. So y'all broke generations of poverty in one generation? Everyone on the Coli is a Jay Z Jr? Yeah, ok. :duck:And no, I don't believe in meritocracy. A lot of life boils down to luck. I graduated from college during the 09' recession and people I graduated with who spoke three different languages and had engineering degrees couldn't get a job at Wendy's back then :picard:. But I know folks ten years older than me who graduated during the tech boom and got six figure jobs in tech fresh out of college with English degrees. Everyone I knew from college who got good jobs and never had to struggle all had connections. Higher education meritocracy is really just a cover up for white privilege. Black college grads have the same likelihood of getting hired as a white man who is a convicted felon.:wtf:

I don't care what the news says, the economy is still really bad. Unemployment is low because underemployment is on the rise. You shouldn't tell anyone to eat cake because you could be back to eating Ramen real soon. Especially if you black or even just not white. And black people who work in high paying white collar jobs kiss cac ass daily. Government is probably the only place where upper earning black people are allowed to be black culturally. :usure:

People had no Idea how easy it was to get a good paying job back then with a non STEM degree in the late 90s.

But The Great Recession that I call "The Near Apocalypse of 09" damn near bodied western civilization with people with degrees out the ass, who couldn't find a job. Straight up had people questioning what did they work hard for in the first place.......:wow:

I'm shocked how no one picked up an AK47 and shot at the professors and employers that lied to people in those hostile time periods.

I hate ceo pay but this an urban myth. If you took ceo pay and have it to workers it’s be a drop in the bucket.

If Walmart ceo got $25 million and they gave it to their employees. Take 1.5 just used based employees. Each one would get $16 and change or 30 cents extra a week

Thats a lot of money 764 a year for every employee from one person

i don't really pay attention cuz someone has to work those jobs. a lot of my family works those types of jobs.

i do think adults should have a separate, higher minimum wage than teenagers.

also, i think a lot don't realize nor have the confidence to pursue programs that could lead to higher wages. and yes, some are lazy
