The trouble with that logic is it assumes there is a way to control a super human intelligence. The reason artificial intelligence scares so many people is because no matter what we problem the computer to do, if its super intelligent it will be able to change and update its code. And there is no reason to believe that it will continue to adhere to whatever parameters we programmed into it. It could just decide to do whatever it wanted and since its superhuman, we couldn't do anything to stop it.

if it were to emerge, we would never catch up to it

God is perfection personified and we're artificial intelligence if you want to break it down like that.

Yeah we're creators in a sense but we're still bound by time and space, which God isn't, we face limitations in this physical realm, especially the human mind because it can only see the world through its symbols, perceptions, sense organs etc. That's why we must transcend the human mind, but we're still bound by time and space physically, so that's why in essence death is beautiful because we can ascend back to God, where we're not bound by the laws of the universe.

And if God has infinite power no matter what he creates it doesn't succeed him, so the rock analogy doesn't make sense because his infinite power means no matter how strong the rock is it shall never be stronger than him.

That's why the creation can never be smarter than the creator because its our manifestation just like we're God manifestation but we're not God per se until death than we ascend back to being God.

And I can keep bringing up the Matrix because the movie shows creation can't be smarter than the creator.

I foresee a future in which humans are able to modify their physical capability and intelligence through technology. Once this happens it is a wrap. There will likely be an elite class of humans who are genetically engineered that will dominate over those of us with average or low IQs.
I dont see AI completely taking over but rather humans (the rich) integrating with AI and becoming super humans. Poor people will perish and be damned to a life of stuggle and mediocrity. This is the next evolutionary step

Eventually chips and AI will find a way to be integrated into the human brain. Humans will become the computer. Kind of like crossing normal evolution with AI. They already have robotic limbs and body parts,cloned and artificial organs are pretty much there. Our brains becoming part of AI is pretty much there
